Are you ready for Leadership?

At the Leadership Readiness Lab, we help experienced professionals determine whether they are ready for senior leadership and how to step into those roles with clarity, confidence, and impact.

Leadership isn’t just progression; it’s exposure. The further you step, the more your judgment is tested, your decisions affect others, and your gaps become visible. Many leaders fail not because they lack ambition, but because they step up before they’re ready. That’s where our work begins.

Why I Founded This Framework

I’ve spent years working with emerging leaders and executives across industries, witnessing two common patterns. Either:

  1. High-potential professionals are promoted or encouraged into leadership roles before they fully understand what’s required. The stakes are high; decisions about people, priorities, and strategy carry real consequences, and early mistakes can be costly. Managers think they are doing their team member a favour by promoting them but what happens is success stalls and often it’s difficult to change leadership’s perspective and the individual gets stuck at that level. Or,

  2. Leaders hit a ceiling when it comes to their progression. They are told they are performing well at their current level, they have skills needed to progress but they are still being overlooked. Often is because of these four pillars in our framework.

This led me to develop the Leadership Readiness Map™, a proprietary framework that explores four dimensions of leadership readiness:

  • Responsibility – Are you willing and able to carry outcomes that extend beyond your current domain?

  • Judgment – Can you make decisions under ambiguity and pressure? Do you think beyond your current area when solving problems.

  • People Impact – How do you take accountability for others’ performance and experience? Do you know how to activate your team to get the best out of them?

  • Identity – How does leadership change who you must be? How do you respond to stress and pressure and what leadership identity are you creating?

This framework forms the foundation for everything we do, from our Leadership Readiness Diagnostic™ to our 8-week Leadership Readiness Accelerator aimed at developing these capabilities.

Our Approach

  1. Leadership Readiness Diagnostic™ – A structured questionnaire that helps you understand your current readiness across the four pillars and identify where to focus. This is our free proprietary tool.

  2. Leadership Readiness Report - free with every Diagnostic. Your report breaks down the Four Pillars of Leadership Readiness — what they mean, why they matter, and how to build each one — plus what your results mean and where to focus next.

  3. Leadership Readiness Development Guide - a self-paced 5-module development system that takes you from honest self-assessment to a prioritised development plan. By the end of Module 5, you will have: a clear picture of where you stand across all four pillars, a map of your specific readiness gaps, and a prioritised development roadmap for the next 90 days.

  4. Leadership Readiness Accelerator – Real-time, high-stakes decision support for leaders navigating complexity, visibility, and ambiguity. This is an 8-week course with small groups of 8. We help you:

    • Avoid common early-transition mistakes

    • Feel less isolated in high-stakes roles

Our Philosophy

Leadership is not about titles—it’s about influence, accountability, and the ability to make high-quality decisions under pressure. By focusing on readiness first, we ensure leaders step into roles when they’re prepared to succeed, rather than being exposed by them.

“Before you take on a new role, ask yourself: can I handle the responsibility, the complexity, and the people who depend on me?” – Marshall Goldsmith

Whether you’re stepping into a senior corporate role or scaling your business as a founder, our work helps you make deliberate, high-impact decisions about your leadership journey.
